Team Coaching is about taking the principles of Leadership Coaching and applying them to a team of people who are working towards a common goal.

Team work is becoming increasingly more important in today’s organisations and the need for high performing teams is vital. However, often a lack of communication, cohesiveness, an understanding of the greater picture and the individual role required in the success of the team, hampers any team success. Furthermore, when you throw in some plain old personality clashes and an inability to hold each other accountable, it’s understandable that often teams come no-where near to being high performing.

So What?…

Team Coaching is not about the fuzzy-wuzzy, touchy-feely stuff and getting team members to hug and high five. What it is about is getting team members to come up with their own solutions to communicate effectively, to learn to play the ball and not the person and to manage accountability, in order to align the team to their purpose.

How it works…

Team Coaching is a series of team conversations, which begins with establishing the purpose and vision of the team.  Subsequent conversations involve setting strategies to achieve those goals, as well as managing and overcoming interpersonal challenges that hinder success.

The length of a Team Coaching process depends on a number of factors, but typically will last between 3 and 6 months.
